I ran one in 1997 and another in 1999 at KCR. tested about 160 suppressors each time with parallel BK2109, LD880 and an O-scope. Lots of PHD scientists, lots of legendary suppressor mfg, Must have been 20 mfg there. Pretty interesting!
Very hard to organize, someone else did it early 2000s but they were a Mfg with a bit of an agenda, I didn't participate, don't know what they used for equipment.... one guy who was doing it had a rep for skewing numbers to his buds, but that's what people always say no matter what. I do know his testing protocols and equipment couldn't measure gunshot rise in time to get the peak. That's a problem, and the reason we ran ours in parallel with multiple test setups and university professors, and Doc Dater, Al Paulson....
