Big Sandy - MG Shooters - Thanks

Posted By: Kenton

MG Shooters would like to thank all the participants for a fantastic shoot. The weather was cold and windy but everyone seemed to preserve, despite the wind and cold. Our Saturday night shoot was spectacular, the sky was filled with tracers. The airplanes didn’t stand a chance as everyone’s Triple A capabilities were awesome. I do not remember any of the airplanes making it through more than 6 passes with most of them getting shot down in 2 or 3.

This year we had extra entertainment with Dutch models. Our local ABC news did a very positive segment on the shoot and the reporter (Steve Kuzj) wanted me to thank all of you for a great time and he appreciated you letting him shoot your weapons. His comment to me was that this is great as I get to shoot machine guns and get paid for it.

We are asking that anyone who has pictures please send them in to our website so we can post them for everyone to see. We want to get all the pictures posted before the weekend.

The 4H club was a success as they managed to sell a bunch of food for its organization. Our raffle for the local school managed to raise $1151.00 Thanks to everyone for helping out.

The suppressor demo was a huge success with over 60 people attending and we will do it again at the next shoot. Everyone in the audience was allowed to sample the products after the demo which was cool. Big thanks go out to Dave Fisher, Bob Taylor, Pat Burden and Myron Wagner for providing the suppressors and firearms.

All the matches were successful with the M1 Garand Match being the most attended. Here are the results of the Matches.
